The Mediterranean inspired Powel Crosley Estate, sits right on the shores of Sarasota Bay. This Sarasota wedding venue is rich in history dating back to its inception in the 1920s. POWEL CROSLEY ESTATE HISTORY

The history of the Powel Crosley Estate dates all the way back to its inception in 1929. The original estate was built by Powel Crosley as a winter home and gift to his wife Gwendolyn. The 11,000 foot estate, sitting on just over 60 acres of land, originally featured over 21 rooms, a swimming pool, a seaplane dock, and a yacht basin.

In 1982, the Powel Crosley Estate was placed on the National Register of Historic Places preserving the history of this place for generations to come. It is now owned and maintained by Manatte Countee, Florida providing meeting, conference, and wedding day event space for countless occasions.

RECEPTION AND CEREMONY SPACES

The ideal outdoor space for your ceremony at the Powel Crosley Estate is the Bayside Lawn. With the breeze gently brushing across your face and the grass at your feet, this space can accommodate up to 100 guests according to the venue website. Your rental includes three hours of space rental, set-up and tear-down. 

You can also rent both the first and second floor of the estate itself for your special occasion. With this option the Great Room greets you with vintage yet timeless décor. Other available options to rent within the estate include the Dining Room, Breakfast Nook, the Gallery, Balcony, Ship Room, and Bayside Room. 

Additional outdoor spaces are also available for your reception including the patio and the estate lawn. Both of these spaces allow for an intimate occasion and can accommodate both medium and small receptions up to 150 guests. Whether planning to transform your wedding day to a whole-venue elegant celebration, or keeping it intimate with close friends and family, the Powel Crosley Estate will take care of every detail of your special day making for an occasion to remember.

PRICING AND PACKAGES

The Powel Crosley Estate has a starting rental fee of $3000 for both peak and off-peak season according to wedding wire. This rental fee includes exclusive use of your event space, two on-site dressing suits, a one hour wedding rehearsal, and more.

Catering and beverage packages are also available through the Powel Crosley Estates’ list of six exclusive vendors including bar and alcohol packages. No other outside vendors for food and alcohol are permitted.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES

With over 30 acres of available property, the photographic opportunities at the Powel Crosley Estate are spanning. Upon entering the venue, depending on your rental, guests will arrive at the portico entrance up to the estates Great Room or will walk down a tree-lined pathway to the bay front lawn, both providing tropical and tasteful ambiance.

The exterior of the venue features large staircases and Mediterranean architecture providing for a tour of history and an expansive selection of ways to tell your love story. A quick stones throw away is the Sarasota Bay, providing an open canvas to paint a picture of your love for one another along the surrounding greenery and local flare.

Inside the venue, you are greeted with massive windows providing tons of natural lights, vaulted ceilings, and antique, yet elegant furnishings making for a stylish affair for all to enjoy and memories to capture lasting a lifetime.
